Our client, a leader in technology solutions, is seeking a Data Center Technician to join their team. As a Data Center Technician, you will be part of the IT department supporting critical infrastructure operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Computer Hardware Technician Location: Ashburn, VA Pay Range: $23/hour Hours: M-F Core business hours - 8-5p What's the Job? Prepare, stage, set up, and perform start-ups and shutdowns of IT equipment, following specific instructions and safety protocols. Conduct post‑execution quality checks to ensure proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling. Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues, quickly identifying causes and performing break‑fix repairs on faulty components. Decommission hardware for system refreshes, including memory upgrades and OS rebuilds. Monitor systems for equipment failures or errors and respond to program error messages effectively. What's Needed? Computer Science majors OR CompTIA A+ or Server+ certifications. Experience as a Data Center Technician, with hardware break‑fix responsibilities. Previous experience with Geek Squad computer repair or similar computer repair technician roles. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components. 1 year of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology. Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word). Flexibility to work non‑standard business hours, including weekends and/or holidays. What's in it for me?
