Valid Georgia Teaching Certification PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Written and oral communication; instructional strategies that connect the curriculum to the learners; classroom and student management JOB DESCRIPTION: To provide instruction in the areas of business and computer sciences. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance. Provides instruction that develops the core knowledge, skills, and values in the ExploratoryBusiness and Computer Science. Exhibits professionalism in all job related situations; follows professional ethics in all work related activities; presents a personal appearance which enhances the image of the school. Communicates responsibly with all individuals and groups. Adheres to local school procedures and regulations in a supportive manner; demonstrates loyalty to the school and its leadership; avoids behavior which detracts from staff morale; works cooperatively with colleagues and the community; helps maintain a positive, cooperative climate. Maintain confidentiality of students and students’ records Interact professionally with all students and parents. Work cooperatively with school administrators, special support personnel, colleagues, and parents. Conducts assigned classes at the times scheduled. Take as to protect records, equipment, materials, and facilities. Assumes responsibility for supervising students in out-of-class settings, as applicable. Promotes a positive student environment that enhances student learning. Maintains plans according to policies and/or directives. Promotes the responsible use of materials and equipment. Submits accurate paperwork on schedule. Prepares adequately for responsibilities to be assumed when absent. Accounts for student attendance and punctuality. Follows all county, state and federal policies and procedures. Directs the conduct of students in accordance with policies at all times. Takes all reasonable measures to protect students’ health and safety. Seeks to improve through professional development and evaluation activities. Maintains prompt and professional communication with parents. Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.
