Qualifications & Requirements
Required:
- Experience in concrete estimating (commercial, industrial, multi-family preferred).
- Strong knowledge of concrete construction, formwork systems, and reinforcing techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam, and estimating software (ProContractor, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar).
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Strong mathematical skills, attention to detail, and analytical thinking.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for subcontractor and supplier coordination.
- Valid driver's license and ability to visit project sites.
Preferred:
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and bid platforms (BuildingConnected, SmartBid).
- Certification in Estimating or Preconstruction (CPE, LEED AP) is a plus.
- Prior experience in a business development or client-facing role is beneficial.
