A growing, full-service construction services company is seeking a Construction Accountant/Controller to oversee and lead internal financial operations across multiple business units.

This is a high-visibility leadership role ideal for someone who excels in accounting and finance but also values cross-functional collaboration. Multi-entity financial management is a must, and experience in construction services is strongly preferred. If you're detail-oriented, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy the challenge of complex financial structures, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily accounting functions including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, job costing, and month-end close
  • Prepare and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Manage intercompany transactions and consolidated reporting across multiple entities
  • Monitor cash flow, enforce cost controls, and analyze financial performance
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting in partnership with department heads
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and applicable tax regulations
  • Provide actionable financial insights to support company growth and operational decisions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting or financial leadership experience
  • Proven experience in multi-entity financial management is required
  • Industry experience in construction services is strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of consolidated reporting and intercompany transactions
  • Familiarity with project-based accounting and job costing
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and lead with a hands-on approach
