We have a strong track record in public-sector construction, including K-12 schools, libraries, and fire districts, as well as private-sector projects in self-storage, warehouse, and multifamily construction throughout the region.
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Assistant to join our highly skilled accounting and project delivery team. This role is critical to supporting complex, multi-year, multi-location construction projects and offers excellent compensation and benefits commensurate with experience.

The Accounting Assistant will work closely with the Head of Accounting and project teams to support construction billing and requisition processing. This position requires strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through in a fast-paced construction environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Process Construction Management Requisitions for a high volume of projects
- Review industry-standard requisition forms (AIA and similar) for accuracy and completeness
- Verify supporting documentation and backup materials
- Track and follow up on incomplete or incorrect submissions until resolved
- Submit approved requisitions to architects and consultants
- Monitor and track requisition status through approval and payment
- Prepare and manage lien waivers and releases for contractors
- Maintain organized records and support audits and internal reviews as needed
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of invoice processing or related experience, preferably in construction or a project-based environment
- Prior experience with a construction management or general contracting firm is strongly preferred
- Self-starter with the ability to manage deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with Procore invoice processing is a plus
- Knowledge of AirTable processing is a plus.
- Reliable transportation is required for our Huntington Station, Long Island office
