JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review, revise and negotiate various contracts with owners and vendors.
  • Organize contract files including but not limited to review copies, internal discussion notes, negotiation correspondence and final execution contract documents.
  • Conduct contract reviews and provide mark-ups and recommendations regarding important legal and risk management issues for negotiation.
  • Develop contract proposals to support organizational goals.
  • Ensure that all records are accurate and up to date.
  • Write contract letters and other communications and notices.
  • Participate in meetings with project teams and executives to review and assess various contractual risks
  • Analyze contracts to ensure they comply with state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with various stakeholders including project managers, risk management professionals and senior executives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years' experience in construction contract administration and management
  • Legal experience and/or knowledge of contract law a plus
  • Knowledge of construction operations and management a plus
  • Strong negotiation and mediation skills.
  • Superior attention to detail in order to spot inconsistencies in contracts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work productively independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • General understanding of accounting principles and finance.
