We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estimator to join our team and contribute to our continued success. MUST RESIDE IN MICHIGAN. THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION.

Job Description:

The Construction Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects. This role requires a deep understanding of commercial construction methodologies, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and complete estimates.
  • Identify and evaluate potential risks and opportunities in the estimating process.
  • Maintain a database of historical cost data and unit prices.
  • Review and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
  • Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and changes in commercial construction methods and materials.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in estimating, with a focus on commercial construction.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Professional Estimator) are a plus.
