What to Expect As a Field Engineer you will be playing a critical role in the construction of Tesla's first lithium refinery plant near Corpus Christi, TX. You will be involved in the full life cycle of a project from design to commissioning. This role will require collaboration across functional groups to resolve technical design issues, ensure quality installations, track and report cost/schedule metrics, and model safe work practices. This is a role that requires sound technical judgement and creative problem-solving skills to support all teams. What You'll Do Complete constructability reviews Manage Request for Information (RFI) for both coordination and providing technical answers Execute purchases $100k and under and support purchase orders over $100k Complete and track value engineering efforts Standard and specification review and development Provide feedback on construction sequencing for your discipline Identify and provide a path of resolution to technical field issues as they arise in collaboration with engineering, applicable contractors, and other parties as required What You'll Bring Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills are a must Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications High proficiency in Microsoft products, Bluebeam, Navisworks Manage, and AutoCAD Proficiency with the follow programs is a bonus: iConstruct, Ansys, Inventor, Compress, Aconex, CADWorx Plant Professional, Revit, and STAAD Proven ability to identify field issues and propose efficient solutions 3+ years of relevant industry experience (heavy industrial, oil & gas, complex chemical plants) Previous experience on $200M+ projects, preferably with experience on both "owner" and "contractor" side Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Medical plans with plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid Health Savings Account (HSA) contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program #J-18808-Ljbffr
