Job Summary

The Mechanical Field Engineer works with guidance from the Project Director and/or Construction Site Manager to monitor progression and quality of assigned construction projects. The position will prepare and present routine reports and maintain effective working relationships with others, including the EPC Contractor.


Please note, location will vary based on project assignment. Pay grade and salary will be determined by education and experience.



Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

•Be onsite 100% of the time while the assigned construction project(s) are in the field.

•Performs assigned task with guidance from supervision

•Assemble and collate issue specific information to support studies

•Assist in organization and occasionally lead assigned projects

•Comply with safety policy and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

•Prepare and present routine reports

•Participate in special projects, committee assignments and routine problem - solving efforts as requested


Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements:

•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, Industrial, Nuclear) from an accredited program.

Minimum 2 yrs. related job experience with large-scale power plant projects preferred


Key Metrics:

•Teamwork and collaboration skills within the team/department

•Effective written and verbal communication skills.

•Maintain effective working relationships within the team/department

•Basic understanding of power generation operations.

•Basic understanding of economic drivers to the business.

•Apply basic problem-solving techniques to address routine issues
