Job Description:

A fast-paced fun and professional office in Sioux Falls seeks a Construction to permanent Mortgage loan officer to hit the ground running, build relationships nationwide with single to multi-unit Residential Construction Builders (individual, to developers and professional constructors) as a member to their team.
Specifically, they are seeking an experienced mortgage originator to bring their experience in the industry, along with their drive to achieve goals.
This financial group hires the person, with a proven accumen for Construction mortgage.
Even with the down market, they are in this for the long-game.
This company has referrals, a database to mine from, and is open to new, healthy business relationships with people and companies who want to build across America!

The driven for success loan officer has a chance to make a name for his or herself under a respected brand umbrella in the Construction builder mortgage space!

Job Functions and Responsibilities:

1.
Responsible for the generation of mortgage loan production from referral sources, realtors, builders, consumer networking groups, etc.


2.
Utilize established personal network within the mortgage and banking industry to increase market share

3.
Originate individual loan production and complete an initial loan application with all builders.


4.
Develop a book of business.
There are a lot of repeat customers and referrals but you get to choose builders to serve as well!

---Your ability to research, identify, reach out, develop relationships, and bring in new Construction of Residential and multi-family housing will be rewarded!

5.
Maintain current knowledge and consistent compliance with regulations and bank policies and procedures related to the position

6.
Identify referral sources to increase the Bank's presence and competitive status

Job Requirements

Requirements:


  • 3 years of experience in mortgage banking, especially working with the individual construction firm, small or large.
    We finance for the person or company building the home, not the buyer.
  • Must be registered and licensed in the Nationalwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) as required by the S.
    A.
    F.
    E Act.
  • Must be able to work at a rapid pace
  • Must be able to travel as necessary.
  • Must be hungry for business.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or equivalent
  • Effectively transfers thoughts and expresses ideas orally or verbally in individual or group situations.
  • The work load during building season can be 45-50 hours a week, but there are off times in the year to make up for this.



Preferred:

* 5 years of experience in mortgage banking, brokerage, real-estate development, and underwriting, consumer credit analysis.

Skills:


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to source leads in a growing database.
  • Telephone and video call relationship building.
  • Social Media, database, and marketing tools savvy and in-person business development
  • Disciplined for day-to-day work and ability to navigate emotional highs and lows of the closing process.
  • Driven to succeed and exceed sales targets.
  • Teachable attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.

Salary:

This position offers a base salary of $60,000k to around $70k or so, depending on all the pieces coming together, top incentives.
No cap on earning potential.
