Duties, Responsibilities & Other KCI is seeking a motivated student to join our team as a Construction Management Intern for Summer 2026. This internship is a full‑time, hands‑on opportunity designed to provide real‑world exposure to construction projects and daily construction management operations. Interns will work a 40‑hour week for a minimum of 10 weeks between mid‑May and the end of August. Throughout the program, interns will support and learn from experienced Construction Managers while working under the supervision of a technical manager. Each intern will be paired with a dedicated supervisor and mentor, participate in planned program activities, and complete mid‑summer and end‑of‑summer reports and presentations. This internship offers valuable experience across active construction projects and helps develop the technical, organizational, and professional skills essential for a career in construction management. Responsibilities include: Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and design engineers. Complete all assigned tasks on time, within budget, and in accordance with the project scope. Maintain document control for all correspondence, RFIs, submittals, and other project‑related documents. Learn to read and understand plans and specifications, including the construction contractor’s means and methods. Learn to test, document, and ensure the quality of the contractor’s work, adhering to project and industry standards. Qualifications Education and/or Skills Required: This is an entry level position where no previous experience is required. Currently enrolled in a college construction management or related program. Education and/or Work Experience Preferred: 3.0 GPA or higher preferred Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Required: Valid Driver’s License Ability to pass and maintain required certifications Pre‑employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment.
