Job ID: 522336 Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and driven individual to join our Management Trainee Program within the mining and construction sector. This is an exciting opportunity for recent graduates or early career professionals to gain hands‑on experience in operations, safety, production, maintenance, and team leadership. The ideal candidate is looking to build a long‑term career in site management or operational leadership. Roles and Responsibilities Learn how to operate within TNY’s safety culture and manage with safety as a value. Gain a ground‑level, hands‑on perspective of production operations. Understand local, state, and federal compliance requirements. Develop basic supervisory skills for future leadership roles. Acquire basic accounting understanding of operations management controls. Act as a relentless, versatile learner who quickly grasps new tasks. Pick up technical skills quickly. Demonstrate support and understanding of CRH and Tilcon’s core values. Complete all daily reporting to assigned operations. Ensure compliance with all regulations and permits. Communicate operational issues to the Plant Manager promptly. Maintain professional demeanor with critical/confidential information. Maintain regular attendance. Work overtime, weekends, and nights as required. Complete additional duties as assigned. Marginal Duties and Functions Perform clerical functions (employee payroll, safety records, operations data, inventory reports, production reports, safety talk documentation, work requests). Fill in for other plant supervisors in their absence. Attend after‑hours company functions, such as Customer Appreciation Events. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED with 3 years+ of practical work experience. Preferred Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.E.) from a four‑year college or university; engineering preferred. At least 3 years’ experience in an operations leadership role. Equivalent combination of experience and training. High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). 3+ years of milling and paving experience. Work Requirements Strict adherence to safety requirements and company procedures. Willingness to travel and work away from home when required. Willingness to work nights and weekends. Must wear personal protective equipment, including face shield, safety glasses, hard‑toe shoes, dust masks, and hearing protection. Knowledge and Skill Requirements Working knowledge of English, math, office practices, and procedures. Ability to maintain records and files. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Ability to follow complex oral and written instructions and solve complex problems. Ability to seek assistance when needed. Adaptability to frequent interruptions and changing tasks.
