Salary Range: $150,000 to $175,000

Overwatch Construction Management is currently looking for a Construction Manager to support a University Student Union Renovation and Expansion Project at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB).

The Construction Manager is responsible for the following:

  • Responsible for managing the Construction process in collaboration with the Project Manager.
  • Must collaborate with the team to prepare, manage and support the documentation required for a post-performance review, audit or other governing agency process inspection.
  • Manages and monitors construction schedules; interacts with the Design-Builder, Campus Representatives, Inspector and Regulatory Representatives to reconcile critical schedule activities and project milestones in order to report on schedule activities.
  • Guides construction decisions by due to project conditions or project stakeholders, to maintain the project scope within the approved budget.
  • Collaborates with the Project Manager to coordinates change order scopes.
  • Assists in the preparation of presentation materials for bi-annual Campus Planning Committee meetings, monthly project updates and other executive level presentations.
  • Responsible for change management and closeout, in collaboration with the project manager and project engineer.

Requirements

  • Must have previous project leadership experience
  • 10+/- years of experience in public works projects
  • Design-Build and/or Progressive Design-Build Experience
  • Institutional/Higher Ed experience preferred • CSU experience is a plus but not required
  • Ability to supervise and lead construction related activities
