We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The Project Engineer will collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
Duties
- Issue requests for information (RFI’s) to clients
- Maintain shipping & project schedules
- Writing purchase orders and subcontracts to vendors
- Coordinating scope with suppliers and subcontractors
- Preparing and issuing change order request pricing
- Reviewing design drawing revisions for scope changes
- Job site visits where you will interact with clients and vendors
- Construction drawing/modeling coordination and submittal review
- Work with onsite subcontractors to identify and resolve field issues
- Material procurement and production tracking
Experience
- Minimum 2-year associate degree or 7 plus years’ experience in construction industry as a Project Engineer or Estimator.
- High level competency in Bluebeam, PDF’s, Microsoft Project, Excel and Word, and common computer skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Pass Pre-Employment Drug Screen and Background CheckProven experience in construction management or a related field is essential.
- Familiarity with project coordination techniques and tools is required.
- Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding of schematics are necessary.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in construction estimating is a plus.
