The PROCEDEO Group, a national Design/Construction Program Management Company, is seeking a K12 Construction Manager to oversee planning, execution, and completion of K12 educational construction projects. Responsibilities include managing budgets, ensuring construction safety, coordinating project schedules, and supervising site activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, timelines, and safety standards. This on-site role requires close collaboration with various stakeholders, including engineers, architects, contractors, and school district representatives. Key Responsibilities Provide overall leadership and management of assigned construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. Oversee project budgets, cost controls, procurement activities, and contract administration to ensure financial accountability. Coordinate and collaborate with contractors, design professionals, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure project alignment and successful execution. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safety standards, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Review and monitor project schedules, cost estimates, and forecasts to maintain on-time and on-budget delivery. Lead or support contract negotiations, change management processes, and resolution of claims or disputes. Review and approve pay applications, change orders, additional service requests, and purchase orders in accordance with established procedures. Oversee permitting, inspections, testing, commissioning, and regulatory approvals through project completion. Monitor document control processes, including submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and record documentation. Facilitate and participate in project meetings, ensuring clear communication and accurate reporting to leadership. Coordinate specialty services such as material testing, hazardous materials abatement, and consultant activities as required. Support planning efforts including phasing, temporary facilities, move management, and operational transitions. Provide administrative and performance oversight of assigned project staff and consultants. Maintain regular reporting on project progress, financial status, risks, and operational updates to executive leadership. Perform additional duties as assigned to support successful project delivery Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Minimum of 5+ years of experience managing K-12 construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. Strong knowledge of construction contracts, budgeting, cost controls, scheduling, and change management processes. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage contractors and consultants, and drive projects to successful completion. Proficiency in project management software and tools, with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
