This Project Manager II - Construction Management will be working with Pasadena Unified School District, Facilities. They will be responsible for managing assigned construction projects under the District’s Facilities Program from pre-construction through closeout. This professional will provide scoping, oversight of schedule, budget, quality control, change order reviews, including time impact analysis, estimates and contractor performance. They will coordinate with architects, engineers, inspectors, contractors, school sites, and District staff to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within approved budgets. They will ensure compliance with DSA requirements, District standards, safety regulations, and contract documents. The Project Manager II will also prepare project documentation, progress reports, and support issue resolution throughout all phases of construction.

  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM – CMAA)
  • Manage assigned construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
  • Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, and quality control
  • Review contractor change orders, estimates, and time impact analyses
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, inspectors, contractors, school sites, and District staff
  • Monitor contractor performance and compliance with contract documents
  • Ensure compliance with DSA requirements, District standards, and safety regulations
  • Prepare project documentation, progress reports, and status updates
  • Support issue resolution throughout all phases of construction

Salary Range: $150,000 - $172,000

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience may substitute for formal education.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience managing public sector or K–12 construction projects, including active construction oversight.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM – CMAA)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP – PMI)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect (CA License)
  • Demonstrated experience with DSA-regulated projects
