Job Description

OVERVIEW
Would you enjoy using your construction background to partner with churches in building purposeful spaces that play a direct role in discipleship? Do you like working on a small, collaborative team using an integrated design/build project delivery method?

Our experienced Construction Project Manager position is a challenging and rewarding opportunity. We’re looking for candidates with excellent commercial project execution experience within a general contractor or design/build company, a desire to serve churches, and a flexible/adaptable team mindset.

You’ll be the lead construction management professional as we serve as a general contractor for large, custom ministry facilities-- a mixture of renovations, additions, and new green site projects. Our PMs are typically managing a number of projects in preconstruction (along with a team of developer and design professionals) as well as a few projects in construction. Generally project size is between $5-30 million per project.

Competitive pay and benefits and a unique opportunity to do meaningful work with a great team.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Lead the preconstruction effort

·       Effective management of client relationships

·       Effectively procure work: from bid packages, directing pre-bid meetings, detailed analysis of bids, contract administration, to close out.

·       Project scheduling

·       Identify and mitigate risks

·       Direct project internal meetings and lead team during construction

·       Ensure that construction is in accordance with contract documents

·       Identify and lead cost savings efforts through value engineering or assembly of accurate general condition estimates.

·       Prepare and manage budgets, submittals, and change orders

·       Collaborate with onsite superintendent.

·       Quality and safety compliance

·       Experience with construction software (Procore and MS-Project)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Relevant Experience:

·       Minimum eight (8) years’ experience managing $10M+ complex building projects with proven track record as the leader in charge for outcome (financial, completion, schedule).

·       A background in working closely with design and architecture (design/build experience a plus!)

·       Must have ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Education: Minimum four-year degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience.

Office and travel: This role is available as a hybrid from our South Lake office, with regular travel required to our jobsites (about 30% travel required- some regionally/some nationally). For the right candidate, we will consider fully remote positions from regions that we have a presence (generally the Midwest, Southeast, and Texas).
