Are you passionate about safety? Have experience overseeing the safety program in the construction industry?

Our client, a growing construction firm headquartered just north of Los Angeles, is actively hiring for a Construction Safety Lead. Top candidates will have prior experience helping to lead a safety-first culture at a general contractor or construction firm, with deep knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety compliance and risk management.

This position will work 2 days per week at company HQ and travel to Southern California job sites 3 days per week.

Base salary: $80,000 per year

Essential Job Duties

  • Communicates programs to enhance employee awareness of prevention and compliance.
  • Maintain, and update as necessary, Site Safety Plans and Site Safety Training.
  • Conduct site inspections to identify potential hazards
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Provides technical leadership and functional guidance to support regulatory standards being followed.
  • Provide safety training to employees on various topics including OSHA regulations and emergency response procedures
  • Maintain records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incidents

Requirements

  • Proven experience working in safety compliance, risk management, or related field
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards
  • Experience with Procore, or other construction management software
  • Certification in EHS or related field is a plus
  • Understanding of construction management principles
  • Ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels
