Construction Safety ManagerWe are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Manager to oversee and enhance the safety protocols and performance on our construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health and safety management within the construction industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure a safe working environment.Responsibilities:Assist in the education and identification of High-Risk Activities (HRA) to the Lease Provider and construction contractor.Monitor and educate on Collaborative Planning conducted by the Lease Provider and/or construction contractor related to High-Risk Activities.Monitor Key Safety Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to health and safety.Assess the health and safety implications of situational and schedule changes during the project.Identify and monitor project Health & Safety performance data to accurately assess project safety status.Stop work and inform appropriate supervision when dangerous activities are observed.Participate actively in health and safety-related meetings, calls, briefings, surveys, reviews, and audits.Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the site's Health & Safety planning and compliance with agreed KPIs.Conduct high-level reviews of Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS), safe plans of action, and lifting plans.Review accidents, incidents, & near-miss reporting, and monitor the implementation of corrective measures.Promote Health & Safety initiatives to influence positive safety behavior on sites.Encourage contractor participation in structured Health & Safety recognition schemes.Provide routine reports to the company site representative and EHS representative on safety activities and initiatives.Conduct a minimum of three daily observations and one weekly site inspection report.Essential Skills:8-10 years of experience in construction or industrial Health & Safety management.OSHA 10 & 30 certifications.NFPA 70E Training and Safety certification, preferably CSP or CHST.Strong knowledge of Federal, State, and Local safety regulations.Bilingual in English and the primary language spoken by the country assigned to.Formal education in construction safety, general industry safety, or health & safety management.Relevant Health & Safety Membership of recognized organization preferred (e.g., IOSH).Additional Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and distribution techniques.Understanding of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans.Work Environment:The position is based onsite in Richmond, VA, with a standard schedule of Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week. The role involves active participation in various safety-related meetings and site inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols.Job Type & Location:This is a Contract position based out of Sandston, VA.Pay and Benefits:The pay range for this position is $78.00 - $88.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
