Construction Safety Manager (Part-Time) Nappanee, IN Part-Time | On-Site We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Manager to lead and strengthen safety initiatives across active construction sites. This role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, minimizing risk exposure, and promoting a culture of safety excellence across all projects. This is a part-time opportunity ideal for a safety professional who thrives in hands‑on construction environments and can operate independently while influencing teams. Position Overview The Construction Safety Manager will oversee all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) activities across multiple job sites. This role ensures compliance with OSHA, DOT, and applicable state/local regulations while implementing proactive safety strategies to prevent incidents and improve operational performance. Key Responsibilities Identify potential safety hazards and implement risk mitigation strategies Develop and enforce site-specific safety plans and procedures Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and state/local safety regulations Maintain OSHA logs, incident reports, certifications, and regulatory documentation Investigate EHS incidents, near misses, and injuries; perform root cause analysis Manage OSHA reporting requirements and necessary permits Lead safety training programs, monthly safety meetings, and new hire orientations Support workers’ compensation case management processes Continuously improve safety systems, policies, and best practices Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in an EHS-related role or a bachelor’s degree in EHS or related field Proven experience in construction safety management OSHA 30 certification required Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations within commercial construction Experience with workers’ compensation and case management Strong documentation and compliance management skills Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Ability to develop and deliver effective safety training High level of professionalism and confidentiality What We’re Looking For A detail-oriented, proactive safety leader who can confidently manage compliance, influence site teams, and maintain a safe and productive work environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
