This role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, minimizing risk exposure, and promoting a culture of safety excellence across all projects.This is a part-time opportunity ideal for a safety professional who thrives in hands-on construction environments and can operate independently while influencing teams.Position OverviewThe Construction Safety Manager will oversee all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) activities across multiple job sites. This role ensures compliance with OSHA, DOT, and applicable state/local regulations while implementing proactive safety strategies to prevent incidents and improve operational performance.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify potential safety hazards and implement risk mitigation strategiesDevelop and enforce site-specific safety plans and proceduresConduct routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessmentsEnsure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and state/local safety regulationsMaintain OSHA logs, incident reports, certifications, and regulatory documentationInvestigate EHS incidents, near misses, and injuries; perform root cause analysisManage OSHA reporting requirements and necessary permitsLead safety training programs, monthly safety meetings, and new hire orientationsSupport workers' compensation case management processesContinuously improve safety systems, policies, and best practicesQualificationsMinimum 3 years of experience in an EHS-related role or a bachelor's degree in EHS or related fieldProven experience in construction safety managementOSHA 30 certification requiredStrong working knowledge of OSHA regulations within commercial constructionExperience with workers' compensation and case managementStrong documentation and compliance management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication abilitiesAbility to develop and deliver effective safety trainingHigh level of professionalism and confidentialityWhat We're Looking ForA detail-oriented, proactive safety leader who can confidently manage compliance, influence site teams, and maintain a safe and productive work environment.
