Job Opportunity: Construction Safety Manager 4 (Onsite – Richmond, VA) Start Date: March 9, 2026 (or ASAP) End Date: July 31, 2026 We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Manager to lead health and safety excellence on-site. This is a high-impact role where you’ll drive compliance, foster a strong safety culture, and ensure safe execution of complex construction activities — including data center projects . Key Responsibilities Educate and monitor contractors on High-Risk Activities (HRA) and collaborative planning. Track and report on safety KPIs, compliance, and project safety status . Conduct daily observations and weekly site inspections , stopping unsafe work when necessary. Participate in safety-related meetings, audits, incident reviews, and planning sessions. Review RAMS, lifting plans, accident/incident reports, and corrective actions. Promote contractor participation in safety recognition programs and initiatives . Provide routine reporting on activities, challenges, and control measures. Required Skills & Experience 8–10 years in construction or industrial health & safety management, with at least 5 years in a senior role . Strong knowledge of Federal, State, and Local safety regulations . Proven experience in data center construction and/or operations . Experience in contractor communications and liaising with design/project teams. Fully IT literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, cloud-based applications). Valid driver’s license and ability to meet site security requirements. Preferred Qualifications OSHA 10 & 30, NFPA 70E Training. Safety certifications ( CSP, CHST, or other BCSP credentials ). Formal education in construction safety, general industry safety, or health & safety management. Membership in a recognized safety organization (e.g., IOSH, preferably chartered status). Bi-lingual proficiency in English and Spanish (required). Top 3 Must-Have Skills Senior-level experience in construction/industrial health & safety management. Safety degree and/or certification. Strong knowledge of Federal, State, and Local safety regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned safety professional with data center experience to make a measurable impact on a major project while advancing their career in construction safety leadership.
