Consumer Finance Litigation Associate Attorney A nationally recognized AmLaw 100 firm is seeking a Consumer Finance Litigation Associate Attorney to join its New York office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing banks, mortgage servicers, fintech companies, lenders, financial institutions, and other consumer financial services clients in sophisticated litigation and regulatory matters. Compensation $215,000 – $325,000+ Ideal Background • 3–5 years of consumer finance litigation experience gained at a sophisticated law firm • Experience representing banks, mortgage servicers, consumer lenders, financial institutions, fintech companies, debt buyers, and other financial services clients • Experience handling litigation involving consumer lending, mortgage servicing, debt collection, credit reporting, loan servicing, and other consumer financial services matters • Experience defending claims arising under FDCPA, FCRA, TCPA, RESPA, TILA, UDAAP, state consumer protection statutes, and other federal and state consumer finance laws • Experience managing all phases of litigation, including motion practice, written discovery, depositions, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation • Experience responding to regulatory investigations, compliance matters, or enforcement actions involving consumer financial services is a plus • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills • Ability to independently manage sophisticated litigation matters while maintaining significant client interaction • Excellent academic credentials • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required • New York bar admission required Why This Opportunity Nationally recognized Consumer Financial Services practice Sophisticated litigation and regulatory matters Opportunity to represent leading financial institutions, lenders, and fintech companies Significant client interaction and early responsibility Flexible work options, including virtual office opportunities Strong mentorship and professional development Aligned Talent Acquisition is currently working with firms seeking talented attorneys with this type of background.
