Responsibilities The Content & Communications Specialist supports the development, coordination, and execution of content across multiple marketing and communications channels. This role is inherently cross-functional and serves as a key execution partner with Marketing, Public Relations, Brand, and business partners to help create clear, consistent, and compelling content — translating strategy, messaging, and audience insights into high-quality, channel-optimized content. The ideal candidate brings strong writing and editing skills, a solid understanding of digital and traditional marketing channels, and the ability to manage multiple content initiatives simultaneously. This position is well-suited for an early-to-mid career professional looking to grow their skills in integrated marketing, content strategy, and communications within a collaborative, fast‑paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Write, edit, and coordinate content for blogs, websites, social media, email marketing, marketing collateral, and internal communications Optimize content for SEO, AEO, accessibility, and channel performance using keyword research and best practices Support the execution and maintenance of the content and editorial calendar aligned with marketing and communications priorities Enhance crossfunctional alignment with PR and Brand to ensure content strategy, messaging, and execution reflect a unified brand voice and communications approach Collaborate with Communications partners to develop and support announcements, storytelling, thought leadership, and media related content Draft and adapt copy for multiple audiences and platforms while maintaining consistent voice, tone, and brand standards Solid familiarity and use of AI‑powered tools responsibly to support content development, editing, ideation, and optimization while applying human judgment and brand oversight Coordinate with internal teams and creative partners, including design, digital, and video, to support content production and distribution Manage routine content updates across owned channels, including websites, blogs, and social platforms Ensure all content meets brand guidelines, compliance requirements, and internal review standards Track and report on basic content performance metrics, including engagement, traffic, and SEO indicators, to inform future content improvements Stay current on content trends, digital tools, AI applications, and communications best practices Connect all content initiatives to clear performance metrics so outcomes are measurable and support data‑driven improvements. Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and required training Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related field Approximately 3 years of experience in a marketing, communications, or content‑focused role Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail Familiarity with digital marketing channels, including social media, email, and websites Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a collaborative environment Use of AI tools responsibly as an essential component of content creation. Strong organizational and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Preferred Experience Experience working with editorial calendars or content planning tools Exposure to PR, media relations, or corporate communications Familiarity with brand guidelines and compliance‑driven environments Basic understanding of content performance metrics and analytics Financial services or insurance experience a plus All applicants must be 18 years of age or older Social media campaign experience preferred Growth Opportunity This role offers exposure to integrated marketing and communications efforts and the opportunity to develop skills in content strategy, PR collaboration, and multi‑channel campaign execution, with a clear path for expanded responsibility over time.
