Sportsman Boats is looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineer who will execute CI (Continuous Improvement) activities and events at the production level. This person will work alongside the CI team and is responsible for improving the outcomes of manufacturing and operational processes, efficiency, reducing cost, and increasing yield. What you will do: Continuous Improvement Execution Lead 5S training, audits, and sustainment. Facilitate Kaizen/CI events. Conduct Value Stream Mapping with Operations support. Support structured problem-solving (A3/PDCA, 5-Why, Fishbone). Process & Flow Optimization Support flow improvements, waste elimination, and takt-time analysis. Assist with line balancing efforts (Yamazumi). Partner with Operations to implement pull systems and WIP management. Standard Work & Visual Management Support development of Standard Work. Implement and maintain visual management tools. Participate in the CI audit program to sustain improvements. Quality & Safety Support Work with Quality and Operations to reduce defects and improve FPY. Support ergonomic and safety improvements through Gemba engagement. Training & Culture Development Coach operators, leads, and supervisors on CI tools and methodologies. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, ownership, and engagement. To be considered you must have: 2–5 years’ experience in manufacturing or CI/Lean roles. Experience leading 5S or problem‑solving events. Strong communication and facilitation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; exposure to ERP systems. Ability to work collaboratively across functions. Preferred Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field preferred. Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt preferred. Experience supporting a Lean transformation or CI deployment.
