Position Summary The Continuous Improvement Department is looking for a CI Intern to participate in various project work relating to the development and operations of PBE’s continuous improvement process and systems. The CI intern will work with members of the manufacturing team ranging from management, engineers, specialists, and technicians and can expect cross‑functional interaction with other associates across the organization. Specific Responsibilities The primary responsibility of the CI Intern is to work alongside the CI Manager to collect and analyze data to help the overall efficiency of PBE’s manufacturing and operations. Collaborate with internal departments to understand the operating strategy of production lines and current flows of materials to optimize end‑to‑end throughput through the factory. Research alternative methods and processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency. Prepare and present updates to departmental leadership to track individual learning experiences and project updates. Minimum Qualifications A rising junior or senior, working toward a bachelor’s degree in a related field of study. Currently enrolled in a technical trade or university and in good academic standing. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Well organized, able to work independently on multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Professional and appropriate attitude, appearance, interpersonal skills, and work ethic. Proficiency in Adobe design software tools, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel. Physical Requirements Standing, sitting, lifting up to 25 lbs. Repetitive use of keyboard and mouse for extended periods of time. Typical working schedule is first‑shift hours.
