About The RoleIdentifies improvement opportunities across all functions throughout the enterprise by partnering and supporting the execution of continuous improvement events. Provides support for all activities related to continuous improvement efforts and enhancing knowledge of the tools and techniques within the Wabash Management System (WMS), as well as other lean and continuous improvement methodologies.Your ResponsibilitiesWorks across Wabash enterprise, including all functions and discipline of office and operations, to support lean improvement efforts (i.e., facilitate implementation of WMS, identify flow opportunities, identify sequence of events, and define constraints or continuous improvement opportunities)Delivers foundational skills training across the enterprise and actively coaches to integrate skills into WMS process to ensure success of programs, including assessmentEvaluates effectiveness of training and assures appropriate revisions are made, ensuring processes support corporate policy in areas of health, safety, and environmental assuranceAnalyzes program progress, utilizing problem solving, surveys, and assessments to understand areas for continuous improvement of WMS ProgramsPeriodically reports team performance, implementation schedules, performance to measures, and assessments of WMS or Continuous Improvement Process to Senior Leadership TeamMaintains up-to-date, state-of-the-art knowledge of WMS and Enterprise Lean techniques and shares information with other team membersCoordinates multiple continuous improvement projects concurrently in cooperation with internal customersDevelops short-range and long-range plans with internal customers to transform the value stream and remove wasteMaintains budget and meets deadlines during projectsOther duties as assignedLet's Talk About Your QualificationsBachelor's Degree (Preferred Major: Engineering or Technology (industrial, mechanical or a related field).Relevant internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing environment.Lean Experience & Six-Sigma Certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, etc.) preferredExperience constructing Value Stream Maps (current and future states), identifying improvements and leading cross-functional teams in developing line improvements preferredMust be detail-oriented and self-motivated with superior time management abilityAbility to take direction from several sources, prioritize accordingly and work under tight deadlinesAbility to motivate and coach teams to drive resultsSuperior interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interface with all levels within the organization, as well as external vendorsExcellent organizational skills with a strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining accuracyAbility to problem solve using known processes (PDCA, DMAIC, etc.) to deliver resultsCapacity to perform in a constantly changing high pressure environmentStrong facilitation and presentation skillsCreate Remarkable Teams: Build partnerships, share knowledge, and create inclusive environment.Have a Growth Mindset: Push for and accept ideas to do things better and faster and seek opportunities to develop new skills.Win Together: Collaborate, seek alignment and excel at cross-group communication to success as one team and One WabashLeadership AttributesAt Wabash, we pride ourselves on being empowering, and there are some things we feel very strongly about:Embrace Diversity and Inclusion -- Solicit and respect the input of others, celebrate differences, and strive for transparency and inclusivenessSeek to Listen -- Actively listen to reach the best solution and make the strongest decisionsAlways Learn -- Strive to improve; do not quit or settle for the status quoBe Authentic -- Demonstrate honesty, incredible energy, and grit in everything you doWin Together -- Collaborate, seek alignment, and excel at cross-group communication to success as one team and One WabashJoin us in turning ideas into world-changing realities.
