Contract Engineer Embedded Mid CW will work onsite from Milwaukee, Wisconsin (some flexibility 3-4 days onsite with 1-2 days remote can be provided if that is mandatory ask from excellent candidates). This role is similar to Window IoT Core Embedded Engineer. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent knowledge in the application of modern software engineering principles, theories, concepts, and techniques Typically requires 8+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated professional development in software design and development. Ability to understand and apply knowledge of object-oriented analysis, design, and programming techniques, especially in C++ and C#. Experience working with real-time embedded development environments. Experience with large scale refactoring of embedded software systems Experience developing software to meet security standards such as IEC 62443 Past technical leadership experience in an agile development setting In depth knowledge of software engineering and application of engineering principles and practices in a related field Experience in Windows IoT Enterprise Development – Must Experience in using open-source tools like GitHub and Jenkins Experience in x86 and ARM hardware architecture and board bring-up. Advanced courses or degree in engineering, computer science or controls Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent
