Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Contract Staff Accountant to support our finance team in the Homestead area. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional with corporate tax experience and a strong understanding of general accounting principles. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with at least 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review corporate tax filings and supporting documentation
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and maintain accurate financial records
• Support audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and improve processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
• Minimum 1–2 years of accounting experience, with a focus on corporate tax
• Strong understanding of GAAP and tax regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
