This full-time, accounting-focused role is based in our North Liberty office - where the dress code is relaxed and jeans and sneakers are the norm. This position starts at $23.00 an hour . Overview As a Contracts Administrator, you'll manage contracts, payments, and project documentation from setup through closeout. We're focused on finding the right person for our team - not just someone who checks the boxes. There's no set deadline for applications; we'll keep this post up until we find the best fit. When that happens, we'll move quickly to make an offer. Responsibilities Manage and verify contract documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Enter and validate job estimates, revenues, and costs in the ERP system. Maintain material pricing and track costs for jobs and asphalt plants. Process invoices and payments for asphalt and oil sales to cash and commercial customers; record and reconcile asphalt plant purchases. Administer subcontractor payments and retainage, and prepare partial pay applications. Handle insurance certificates, lien waivers, and other required administrative documentation. Maintain organized, accurate records in Viewpoint software; reconcile financial data monthly and annually. Support project managers with job closeouts, final payments, and related tasks. Provide general office support, including receptionist coverage and prompt response to internal and external requests. Collaborate across departments and cross-train as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Schedule In office Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. No remote or hybrid schedule. Required Qualifications and Competencies Bachelor’s degree in accounting or 3+ years of related accounting experience. Reliable, on-site presence with consistent, punctual attendance. Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills. Excellent communication, collaboration, and follow-up abilities. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Employment Requirements Pass pre-employment drug test. Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record. Physical Requirements This position requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Clear speech, hearing, and vision sufficient for effective communication and detailed review of documents in print and electronic formats. Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and perform tasks such as typing, data entry, and document review. Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds (e.g., office supplies or equipment). Mobility within the office to collaborate, attend meetings, and access files or resources.
