Contracts ManagerLocation: Oakville, ON About the role:BAUER Foundations Canada Inc. is seeking a Contracts Manager to support contract review, risk management, change orders, and claims across foundation and civil construction projects. Reporting to the Senior Contracts Manager, this role partners closely with Regional Operations Leaders, Project Managers, and Finance to protect project and company commercial interests from bid stage through project close-out.Key Responsibilities:Review, interpret, and analyze contract documents, specifications, and commercial terms to identify risk, obligations, and opportunities.Support contract negotiations and ensure proper execution of agreements.Maintain accurate contract documentation throughout the project lifecycle.Partner with Project Managers to identify, price, document, and pursue change orders and variations.Assist in the preparation, submission, and management of claims, including supporting documentation and entitlement analysis.Identify emerging risks and advise leadership on contractual and commercial impacts to projects and the business.Provide guidance on contractual compliance and commercial risk.Support continuous improvement of contract management processes, templates, and best practices across the organization.Qualifications:5+ years’ experience in contract or commercial management within construction or civil environments.Strong understanding of construction contracts, including CCDC, custom client contracts, and subcontract agreements.Experience supporting change orders, claims, and contract negotiations on active construction projects.Ability to interpret technical specifications, scopes of work, and commercial termsStrong organizational, documentation, and communication skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to advise Project Managers and leadership on contractual matters.Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field is an asset.Legal, contract management, or project controls training/certification is considered an asset.What We Offer:Competitive compensation and an excellent benefits packageA worldwide operating organization with a strong family atmosphereOngoing employee training and professional development opportunities
