As a Control Engineer, you contribute to the development of advanced mechatronic systems across the high‑tech, space, and defense industries. You serve as the key point of contact for the control discipline within multidisciplinary projects. Depending on the assignment, you work independently or lead a small team of control specialists and engineers.What You Will DoAct as the technical contact for control engineering within complex, multidisciplinary projects.Design, analyze, and optimize control strategies for high‑performance mechatronic systems.Interpret system behavior using frequency‑domain analysesTranslate system and customer requirements into concrete control solutions and technical specifications.Collaborate closely with experts in system engineering, mechanics, electronics, software, and optics.Potentially lead a small team, including planning, task allocation, and progress monitoring.Support experimental phases such as system identification, validation, and performance evaluation.Coordinate with partners, suppliers, and customers on hardware specifications and acceptance testing.What You BringMSc or PHD in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on control.Experience with high‑tech mechatronic systems; familiarity with optical or opto‑mechatronic concepts is an advantage.Strong foundation in linear systems theory, controller design, and dynamic modeling.Ability to interpret frequency‑domain analyses and design robust, implementable control algorithms.Experience with data‑driven methods such as system identification and performance analysis.A proactive, curious, and solution‑oriented mindset suited to complex engineering challenges.Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate technical decisions.A collaborative attitude and enjoyment of working in multidisciplinary teams.If applicable: affinity for coordinating tasks, supporting team members, and managing technical work packages.
