Control Engineer

Overview Base pay range: $75,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr. Our client, a leader in low and medium voltage systems, is hiring an Electrical Control Engineer to join their team in San Antonio. The role involves applying variable speed drives, reduce voltage solid state starters, switchgear, power transformers, DCS/PLC systems, control panels, and integrated power control rooms. Responsibilities Design power and control logic circuits Determine size of power components, wiring, and over-current protection Determine heat loading and enclosure cooling requirements Create bill of materials Research and investigate control options and new technologies Provide technical support, including field support when required Assist sales with design Assist/train wiring technicians when required Assist with final testing when required Required Qualifications High School Diploma 3-5 years of experience in electrical control design and system implementation; additional field support experience preferred Experience with AutoCAD Electrical Experience with UL508A & NEC Advanced computer skills; PLC/HMI programming experience preferred Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook Ability to work well with others and maintain professional respect Preferred Qualifications Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Electrical controls field service background VFD knowledge and programming experience PLC/HMI programming experience SCADA knowledge and programming experience Wireless telemetry knowledge and programming experience IT and Networking experience Control manufacturers training credentials Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Project Management Industries Building Construction, Construction, and Specialty Trade Contractors EEO statements and related notices: Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Blayze Group by 2x.
