Job Title: Senior Controls Systems Engineer

Type: Full-Time

Location: Waukesha, WI (Onsite with flexibility)

Compensation: $105,000–$120,000 base + full benefits

A Fortune-1000 manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Controls Systems Engineer to design, implement, and scale automated and semi-automated manufacturing systems. This role focuses on PLC development, controls architecture, robotics integration, and factory-level automation standards in a high-volume production environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Design and program PLC control systems for automated manufacturing
• Integrate conveyors, robotics, MES, machine vision, and third-party equipment
• Develop scalable, documented, and reusable PLC code
• Implement OSHA / ANSI-compliant machine safety systems
• Create HMI interfaces for complex machinery
• Lead controls standards and mentor suppliers and partners
• Support equipment build, testing, and qualification events

Must-Haves (Don’t Apply Without These):

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
• 7+ years experience with Rockwell Logix PLCs
• Hands-on experience in high-volume automated manufacturing
• Strong troubleshooting and systems-level thinking
• Willingness to travel occasionally
