Position: Controller, CWG

Location: Rosemont, IL OR Lombard, IL

Description: We are looking for an experienced Controller with a strong work ethic. As a Controller, you’ll drive and own the company’s financial status, review budgets and forecasts and manage accounting transactions. To be successful in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), experience in public accounting or a publicly traded company, and the ability to work in a small to large division that is part of a large company.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinates and directs financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and investment activities
• Management and ownership of financial statements and track financial KPIs
• Assist with acquisition due diligence and integration
• Report on financial status on a regular basis and create ad-hoc reports when needed
• Advises management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions.
• Develops internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting.
• Analysis of the financial details of past, present, and expected operations in order to identify development opportunities and area where improvement is needed.
• Delegates authority and monitors payroll, receivables, payables, and banking.
• Leads staff training and development in budgeting and financial management areas.
• Coordinates organizational policies and procedures, compliance with federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards.

Key Qualifications & Requirements:

• Work experience as a Controller or similar role in a division that is part of a larger company
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, procedures and legislation
• Hands-on experience with general ledger accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Experience with cash management and risk assessment
• Good knowledge of accounting software
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work with tight deadlines
• BSc or MSc in Accounting or Finance
• CPA or CMA preferred

Target Salary Range: $140,000 – $150,000 salary a year with the opportunity for eligible employees to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, geographic location, and business and organizational needs.
