Financial Controller PositionWe are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to oversee and optimize accounting and financial operations within our oil and gas organization in Breaux Bridge, LA (near Lafayette.) This position is ideal for a self-motivated leader with extensive industry expertise, exceptional technical accounting skills, and the ability to manage complex financial reporting processes. The role requires a strategic thinker who can ensure compliance, streamline operations, and provide valuable insights to support organizational growth.Responsibilities:Manage all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and the financial close process.Prepare, analyze, and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, organizational policies, and robust internal controls.Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis to guide financial planning.Coordinate and lead audits, collaborating with external auditors and advisors to ensure compliance.Establish and maintain comprehensive financial policies, procedures, and controls to enhance operational efficiency.Offer strategic financial insights and analytical support to inform executive decision-making.Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering growth and strong performance.Collaborate on system implementations or upgrades to improve accounting processes and reporting capabilities.Monitor revenue and cost accounting processes specific to oil and gas operations.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.At least 10 years of experience as a Financial Controller or Assistant Controller, preferably in the oil and gas industry.Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and complex data analysis.Expertise in accounting software and experience with Foundation Construction software.Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards, with a focus on accuracy and detail.Demonstrated ability to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities effectively.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a high level of integrity.Proven experience in revenue accounting and cost accounting within the oil and gas sector.
