Role Summary: The CFO will oversee and direct the accounting functions of our business, ensuring accurate financial reporting and robust financial projections. Critical areas of focus include managing deferred income, complex inventory transactions, and providing trusted financial analysis to guide strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage deferred income processes and accurately account for all inventory-related expenses (interest, warehousing, freight).
• Prepare detailed and accurate financial projections, clearly communicating financial scenarios to leadership.
• Serve as the key liaison for audits, providing detailed audit support and ensuring compliance.
• Supervise and mentor accounting support staff, promoting a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership, contributing insights to support business decisions.
• Drive continuous improvements in accounting processes and systems, leveraging Great Plains software effectively.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience with deferred income accounting and financial projections.
• Proven expertise in accounting within product-driven sectors involving complex inventory and logistics.
• Hands-on proficiency with Great Plains accounting software is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, excellent interpersonal skills, and proven capability to manage a team effectively.
• CPA with a strong audit background desired
