Controller Apply
Position Overview:
The Controller will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the company's financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations. This role will report directly to senior leadership and will be crucial in the continued growth and success of the business. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, a proactive problem solver, and possess a strong understanding of accounting best practices, particularly in QuickBooks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all accounting functions, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, and payroll.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Monitor cash flow and prepare forecasts and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
- Manage internal controls and processes to maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Assist with tax preparation and filing, including liaising with external accountants and auditors as needed.
- Implement and manage QuickBooks accounting software for financial reporting and analysis.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely payment processing.
- Conduct periodic audits and reviews to ensure accuracy and adherence to company policies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: MBA or CPA (preferred).
- Experience: Proven experience as a Controller, Accountant, or similar role with a stable work history.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in QuickBooks, with the ability to manage accounting functions efficiently.
- Personal Traits: Loyal, trustworthy, and dependable, with strong integrity and confidentiality.
- Background Checks: Must clear a background check, drug screening, and credit check.
- Language: Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Work Environment: Must be comfortable working in a small, growing office setting with a hands-on approach to accounting.
