Controller - Commercial Subcontractor (Construction) Location: Irvine (south), CA Company Size: ~$50M revenue, high?growth Industry: Commercial Subcontractor - Construction (Required) Software: Foundation We're seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting function for a growing commercial subcontractor construction company. With approximately $50M in annual revenue and multiple recent acquisitions, the company is entering a major growth phase and needs a strong financial leader to help build scalable processes and ensure accurate, GAAP-compliant reporting. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily accounting operations (AP/AR, payroll, GL, job costing). Manage month-end close, financial reporting, and WIP schedules. Ensure GAAP compliance and strengthen internal controls. Support integration of recently acquired entities. Utilize Foundation accounting software for construction-specific workflows. Partner with leadership and project teams to support financial transparency and profitability. Requirements Construction industry experience required (commercial subcontractor preferred). Strong GAAP knowledge and hands‑on accounting management. Experience in small to mid‑sized, fast‑growing companies. Proficiency with Foundation or similar construction accounting systems. Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
