Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Plant Controller to lead all financial operations within a high-volume metals manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring accurate reporting, and partnering with plant leadership to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all plant-level accounting and financial activities for a facility generating $100M+ in annual revenue
• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with corporate and GAAP standards
• Develop, analyze, and report on standard costs, variances, and manufacturing KPIs
• Partner with operations to drive cost reduction initiatives and improve plant profitability
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for the plant
• Ensure strong internal controls and support audits as needed
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to plant leadership team

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
• 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience within metals manufacturing
• Proven experience as a Plant Controller or senior finance leader in a manufacturing environment
• Strong cost accounting background, including standard costing and variance analysis
• Demonstrated success managing financials for a facility with $100M+ in revenue
• Deep expertise in month-end close processes
• Experience working closely with plant operations teams
• ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, or similar preferred)
