Location: Lyman, SC (Greenville-Spartanburg Area, SC) Position Summary The Controller is a key financial leader responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations while partnering with executive leadership to drive financial visibility, forecasting, and operational decision-making. This role will lead the accounting function, ensure the integrity of financial reporting, and develop meaningful financial metrics that support the company’s continued growth and operational excellence. The Accounting Manager will play an important role in strengthening processes, improving reporting capabilities, and helping leadership make informed business decisions. What You’ll Own & Drive Financial Reporting & Accounting Operations Own the full‑cycle accounting function including AP, AR, and General Ledger Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process with a focus on accuracy and timeliness Prepare and present financial statements and key insights to leadership Ensure the integrity of the general ledger and financial reporting structure Build and maintain financial forecasts, budgets, and models Analyze results and deliver clear, actionable insights to leadership Develop and track key business metrics, including: Budget to Actual variance reporting and analysis Gross margin and profitability Job costing performance Inventory and production efficiency Cash flow and working capital Balance sheet accounting reconciliations Capital expenditures and fixed assets Partner with operations to turn financial data into real business decisions Manufacturing & Cost Accounting Lead job costing and product costing analysis Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and margin performance Work cross‑functionally with production to ensure accurate inventory and costing practices Systems & Process Improvement Optimize and maintain Infor Visual Manufacturing ERP Identify and implement improvements in processes, controls, and reporting Build automated reporting, dashboards, and data tools to increase efficiency and visibility Compliance, Audits & Corporate Reporting Coordinate with external auditors and corporate teams, including parent company Support year‑end close and tax reporting requirements Maintain strong internal controls and compliance standards Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team Create structure, accountability, and consistency across processes Build scalable systems to support future growth What You Bring Required Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into insights Excellent communication and leadership skills Preferred Manufacturing or cost accounting experience ERP experience (Infor Visual or similar) Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and KPI development Prior leadership experience CPA or CPA‑track What Sets You Apart You think beyond the numbers and understand the “why” behind performance You’re comfortable rolling up your sleeves while also thinking strategically You enjoy building structure, improving processes, and driving change You want a seat at the table, not just a desk Why AMAMCO Tool?
