We currently work fully in office at 4400 Cartwright Rd., Missouri City, Tx 77459.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the finance function for the organization
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Liaison between office and the CPA for end-of-year reporting
  • Prepare AIA Contracts
  • Help devise strategies to reduce cost and increase profitability
  • Approve the bi-weekly payroll
  • Approve the bi-weekly accounts payable
  • Implement and improve systems and procedures
  • Monitor and Forecast cash flow and business trends
  • Help Management make timely and accurate decisions about projects
  • Keep projects funded and financially on track
  • Closely monitor the KPIs and advise accordingly
  • Supervise a team of multiple personnel
  • Handle all audit requests from insurance and other concerned agencies
  • Handle negotiations for insurance claims
  • Implement and ensure strict adherence to internal controls and suggest improvements
  • Prepare end of the year 1099s, and other returns per regulations
  • Sync all financial data with Construction Online in a timely manner to keep PMs up to date
  • Align the team to meet companys goals

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
  • CPA certification is required.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Previous experience in the construction industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and ERP systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to ethical standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments.
