Corporate ControllerThe Corporate Controller is responsible for the integrity of financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting operations across a multi-segment marine manufacturing business (fiberglass, aluminum, pontoon). This role oversees close, cost and inventory accounting, dealer financing complexities, seasonal cash flow, warranty reserves, and U.S. GAAP compliance. The Controller partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Sales, and IT to drive profitability, margin improvement, and data-driven decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesLead month-, quarter-, and year-end close; deliver timely, GAAP-compliant financial statements.Direct core accounting functions (GL, AP/AR, Payroll, Fixed Assets, Cost Accounting).Own cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and internal control design and execution.Oversee inventory accounting (raw materials, WIP, finished goods, aftermarket parts).Lead standard costing, overhead absorption, variance analysis, and margin reporting.Partner with Operations and Engineering on BOM governance, cost rolls, and product profitability by model/series.Partner with Sales on dealer-related accounting (floor plan financing, rebates, discounts, repurchase arrangements).Ensure appropriate revenue recognition, warranty programs, and credit policies.Model seasonal working capital needs and cash flow impacts.Oversee warranty reserves and product liability accruals; collaborate with Customer Service and Quality on claims trends.Support international trade compliance and landed cost accounting.Serve as Finance process owner for ERP; drive automation, reporting, and data integrity improvements.Coordinate external audits and audit schedules.Partner with tax advisors on income, sales/use, and property/excise tax compliance.Support treasury activities, covenant reporting, and short-term cash forecasting.Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team.Deliver executive-ready analysis and board-level reporting.Act as a key advisor to the CFO on pricing, capital investments, and strategic initiatives.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred; MBA a plus).812+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience; 5+ years in manufacturing (OEM preferred).Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge; hands-on cost accounting and inventory control experience.ERP experience (INFOR Syteline CSI 10 preferred) and advanced Excel skills.Experience with dealer financing programs, warranty reserves, and internal controls.Desired AttributesStrategic, operationally fluent financial leader comfortable in a manufacturing environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Change agent who drives process improvement and automation.Collaborative partner with strong communication and leadership skills.High integrity and resilience in a seasonal business environment.Equal opportunity employer.
