Job Title: Controller Reports to: President Effective Date: May 2025Job Summary:Oversee and direct the financial segment of the business.Job Focus:Oversee the financial operations of an organization, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and efficient management of financial resources.Strategic planning, financial analysis, budgeting, and internal controls to support the organization’s financial health and growth objectives.Supervisory Responsibilities:Assign work as needed to the staff.Assist in hiring new employees and assist in making employment separations decisions.Assists in the training of new office employees.Conduct employee performance appraisals.Check employees’ work for accuracy and completeness.Responsibilities and Objectives:Prepares all month-end reporting, oversees accounts payable and accounts receivable, completes weekly payroll and monthly bank reconciliations.Prepares analysis for month end.Provides advice and direction to staff.Prepares and executes yearly budget.Acts on behalf of the company to address service issues with the customer. Ensures that all work is performed in accordance with the contract.Oversees the financing program for customers.Works with employees to establish clear and measurable goals related to customer service, business operations and strategic business planning activities.Assist with the company’s flat rate pricing and inventory costingKeeps President informed of all activities.Expected Outcomes:Satisfied customers and respected employees.Consistency in job performance and goal attainment.Maintain long-standing reputation for exceptional customer service and problem-solving ability.Required Competencies: Effective communicationConflict resolutionSelf-direction and self-motivationAdaptabilityTime managementOrganizationalFocusedConfidentialityGoal attainmentFunctional expertiseRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: B.A. degree and/or ten or more years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Periods of standing.
