StevenDouglas is partnering with a client seeking a Controller for a temp-to-perm opportunity. This need is 4 days/week on-site in Sidney, Ohio.

This individual will assist with the following tasks:

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close cycles, ensuring accurate financial statements and internal/external reporting
• Oversee daily accounting functions, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and operational accounting
• Manage ERP accounting, drive system improvements and maintain data integrity
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, variance reports, and operational analyses for executive decision-making
• Prepare and lead financial discussion in weekly operation meetings
• Ensure strong internal controls and support audit/compliance processes
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable financial insights
• Partner with the leadership on reporting and analysis initiated by private equity stakeholder requests.
• Mentor, develop, and supervise accounting staff

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a private equity-backed business
• Advanced ERP experience (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Manufacturing or CPG industry experience
• Strong GAAP technical knowledge and audit experience
• Proven record in operational close, financial reporting, and team management
