Financial Controller

 $150,000 – $175,000 + Bonus
 

About the Role:
CV Resources is partnering with a well-established organization in Metro Salt Lake City to identify a Financial Controller. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of technical accounting expertise, leadership experience, and a strategic mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all accounting operations, including general ledger, financial reporting, and month-end close

• Oversee the preparation of internal and external financial statements and support annual audits

• Establish and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy

• Manage and develop accounting staff, fostering a high-performing team environment

• Partner with leadership on financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning

• Provide guidance on financial risks, compliance, and operational improvements

• Coordinate audit activities and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s preferred)

• CPA required

• 15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including both public accounting and industry

• Strong experience with consolidations and multi-entity environments

• Proven leadership experience managing accounting teams

• Deep knowledge of GAAP, audit, and financial reporting

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred)

• Advanced Excel skills

• Background in complex or multi-entity organizations
