What you’ll do as a Controller: Support the Chief Financial Officer in overseeing the financial integrity of the Bethany Life continuum Responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, supporting financial reporting, coordinating the annual independent audit, and ensuring strong internal controls, policies, and procedures Plays a key role in safeguarding organizational assets Oversees day-to-day accounting operations, including financial data entry, account reconciliation, balancing, and verification of accuracy across financial systems What’s required as Controller: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required 5+ years of progressive accounting or financial management experience Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles Experience coordinating or supporting annual audits required Demonstrated ability to design and enforce internal controls Ability to manage confidential information with discretion Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Demonstrates professional behavior at all times, including maintaining a positive attitude, respecting confidentiality, interacting respectfully with members, families, colleagues, and community partners, and representing Bethany Life in a professional manner CPR Certified or obtained within six (6) months of hire.
