This is a strategic leadership role for an experienced finance professional who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments. You will take ownership of the full financial function, from day-to-day operations to long-term planning and executive-level decision support. Working in a global, remote-first setting, you will partner closely with leadership to drive financial performance, scalability, and operational excellence. The role combines hands‑on financial management with strategic insight, requiring both precision and forward‑thinking. You will play a critical role in shaping financial systems, improving processes, and ensuring compliance across a growing organization. Accountabilities You will oversee and optimize all financial operations while acting as a key strategic partner to leadership. Your responsibilities include: Managing end-to-end financial operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities. Leading monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. Preparing and presenting financial statements, management reports, and executive-level insights. Driving budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and performance tracking. Building financial models and conducting profitability analyses to support strategic initiatives and investments. Enhancing financial systems by integrating ERP, e-commerce, and inventory platforms to ensure data accuracy and scalability. Establishing internal controls, policies, and KPIs to improve governance, transparency, and operational efficiency. Managing compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and audit requirements while mitigating financial risks. Leading and mentoring the finance team, while collaborating cross-functionally to support business objectives. Requirements The ideal candidate is a seasoned finance leader with strong technical expertise and a strategic mindset, capable of driving both execution and transformation. Key qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred. 7–10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including 3–5 years in a Controller or senior leadership role. Experience in e-commerce, retail, or inventory-driven business models is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of accounting standards (US GAAP and/or IFRS) and tax regulations. Advanced skills in financial modeling, Excel/Google Sheets, and ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or QuickBooks. Experience integrating financial systems with operational platforms and improving processes at scale. Proven ability to lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting in dynamic environments. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present insights to executive stakeholders. Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing and developing high-performing teams. Ability to work remotely while aligning with US-based time zones and managing multiple priorities effectively.
