We are seeking an experienced Controller to serve as a key finance leader overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls across multiple legal entities in the U.S. and Canada. This role leads Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory Accounting, General Ledger, and Compliance, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and continuous process improvement. Strong SAP expertise is essential, as the Controller will actively support ERP optimization and drive operational excellence. Duties & Responsibilities: Ensure integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting for all U.S. and Canadian entities. Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Maintain compliance with GAAP/IFRS, company policies, and internal controls. Strengthen internal control environments and documentation. Operational Accounting Leadership Oversee daily accounting functions including AP, AR, inventory/cost accounting, fixed assets, and general ledger. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team. Support cash flow forecasting, working capital improvements, and treasury activities. Process Improvement & Systems Optimization Drive automation, efficiency, and workflow improvements across accounting processes. Lead enhancements and optimization of SAP ERP modules. Partner with IT to resolve system issues, improve data quality, and enhance system integrations. Planning, Forecasting & Analysis Support budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and variance analysis. Prepare insightful financial analysis to support strategic decisions. Develop reporting frameworks for internal and external stakeholders. Business Partnership Provide financial leadership to operations, supply chain, and senior leadership. Evaluate department performance, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions. Support ad‑hoc analysis and special projects as needed. Skills & Abilities Strong alignment with company values: honesty, sincerity, respect, and trust. Excellent leadership and team development capabilities. Highly proactive, self‑motivated, and collaborative. Strong SAP expertise; experience with system upgrades (S/4 HANA a plus). Strong analytical, pragmatic, and problem‑solving skills. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred. 5–10+ years of progressive accounting or financial leadership experience, including experience as a Controller. Experience leading teams across AP, AR, inventory accounting, and general ledger. Manufacturing industry experience required, including cost accounting and operational finance. SAP ERP experience is mandatory. Multi‑entity (U.S. & Canada) and multi‑currency reporting experience required. Proven track record in process improvement, internal controls, and ERP optimization. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of desk and computer work. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds on occasion.
