A fast-growing distribution company in the foodservice space is seeking a seasoned Controller to lead its finance function. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and brings a strategic mindset to operational finance. You'll oversee day-to-day accounting operations, lead a growing team, and partner closely with executive leadership on financial planning and business strategy.This is a high-impact, high-visibility role with ownership over everything from budgeting and audits to compliance, internal controls, and M&A support.What You’ll Be Responsible For:Manage all core accounting functions -GL, AP/AR, payroll - ensuring accurate reporting and clean month-end close processesLead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in collaboration with leadershipOversee audits (bank and CPA), tax filings, and risk management initiativesEnsure compliance with GAAP and applicable local/state/federal regulationsImplement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assetsPrepare and present reporting packages and KPIs for executive decision-makingEvaluate systems and lead improvements to streamline financial operationsSupport due diligence and integration for acquisitions or expansion effortsProvide mentorship and direction to the accounting teamWhat You Bring:8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including 5+ years in a leadership capacityBachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA required; MBA a plus)Proficiency with ERP systems and strong command of ExcelExperience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain is strongly preferredExcellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlinesA collaborative leadership style and a strong sense of ownershipWhy It’s a Great Opportunity:You’ll join a dynamic company in growth mode where finance plays a critical role in operational success.
